If you get an error on a lcd-like tv that behaves like this:
Doesn't turn on (flashing power LED.).

-> Be sure your tv is out of warranty.

You'll probably have to open the tv and replace some capacitors.
Normally broken capacitors will pop open, but not always.
You can replace capacitors of the same value (Farad) to capacitors with a higher capable voltage, this would mostly have been the problem (too low voltage capability.).

!! Watch out for the High Voltage board (with large capacitors.). There could still be a charge left in there. If you really have to replace those capacitors, you would wanna discharge them with a large screw (flat top) screwdriver. !!

Can confirm this fixed my problem with netbeans versions 6.9.1 and 7.0. I run a dual screen setup, and had a hunch this was the problem as well, however couldn't find anyway to fix it or grab the window outside my desktop area.
Thanks for the fix!

thank you so much, I was stuck on this one. Works with netbeans7 too and is indeed related to dual monitor: the file contains the line OptionsX=-1100 beacause the option dialog was lastly displayed on the second monitor at work while i am now trying to open it on the primary monitor of my portable here at home. Tx +++

I think your hunch is correct. I go between dual monitors and single-screen when I take my work laptop home, and that seemed to cause the issue for me.

Thanks for the fix! (It worked perfectly.)
