Victor Van Dort (Johnny Depp) is in trouble! He is arranged to be married to Victoria Everglot (Emily Watson) in the morning, and he can't remember his wedding vows! Going off to the forest to rehearse, he chooses the wrong twig to stand in for his bride-to-be's finger, and finds himself wedded to the Emily (Helena Bonham Carter), the pretty-in-putrificiation Corpse Bride. Can Victor convince her he is not dead, and is relunctant to be so, before his wedding day? Can he escape from the land of the dead, and can Emily finaly revenge herself on the man who callously caused her demise?
