A small group of American soldiers, lead by Bruce Willis’s character, are supposed to go into an African country and rescue an English doctor that is an American citizen. The rescue occurs while the African country is in the middle of a coup and massive killings are occurring. The doctor refuses to go without several of the patients that she was taking care of. Unbeknownst to the American soldiers one of those people happens to be important to the African group trying to take power. Both groups try to out run each other, as the Americans lead their group to safety across the boarder into another country.
