Rat Race is a hilarious romp with an ensemble cast, all of whom are trying to win a race to find a locker with $2 million dollars in it. A motley group of people in the Venetian Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas all win a special token that invites them to this race. Initially the race is between six people, but as they gather help it quickly ends up as a much larger group, all of whom are intent on reaching the money first. Donald Sinclair (John Cleese) is the owner of the hotel and has dreamed up this race as a clever way of relieving the boredom of normal gambling for his high rolling VIP clients. The six original receipients of the tokens include Duane Cody (Seth Green), Vera Baker (Whoopi Goldberg), Owen Templeton (Cuba Gooding Jr.), Randy Pear (Jon Lovitz) and family, Enrico Pollini (Rowan Atkinson), and Nick Schaffer (Breckin Meyer). Not surprisingly it is a rat race to the finish line in this raucuous comedy, and in the end the tables may be turned on the instigators of the race.
